Web Comment: The contractor's regular work schedule is Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM until 6:00PM PDT. Work is also scheduled for Saturday 8/15/20 from 6:00AM until 6:00PM PDT. Expect occasional traffic delays that could last up to 15 minutes during working hours. The overall pavement width is reduced to 26 feet total or 13 feet per direction of travel. For wide load accommodations contact the project's Project Manager (Dusty Forsmann @ 509-751-1580 or 509-780-1244) or the project's Superintendent (Matt Uptmor @509-254-7966). Motorists are urged to exercise caution when traveling in the area, as workers and equipment will be working close to traffic. Heavy rock excavation work has ceased for now, and will resume later in the season. Bridge construction has been completed to about 75%, and the temporary bridges are being removed. Some sections of the driving lanes (above the new bridge structures) are still gravel/fill material, and motorists are advised to slow down and follow the posted speed limits. Motorists are advised that the Old Winchester Grade is not a viable alternative to US-95 due to its extremely poor surface condition, load limit of 30,000 pounds, and low speed limit of 25 mph. The road is closed to through traffic and will be enforced by local law enforcement agencies. Due to the nature of this project, closure schedules are subject to change with little to no notice. Updates will be posted here as soon as they are known.
