US 95 in both directions: Road construction.

Between US Route 95 Business (6 miles north of the Craigmont area) and Winchester-Culdesac Road (7 miles south of the Culdesac area). Road construction work is in progress. Bridge construction work is in progress. There is work on the shoulder. Expect delays. Look out for flaggers. Speed restrictions are in force. There is a width limit in effect. Speed limit 35 MPH. Width limit 13'0". Until October 1, 2020 at about 7:00PM PDT.

Web Comment: The overall pavement width is reduced to 26 feet total or 13 feet per direction of travel. For wide load accommodations contact the project's Project Manager (Dusty Forsmann @ 509-751-1580 or 509-780-1244) or the project's Superintendent (Matt Uptmor @509-254-7966). Motorists are urged to exercise caution when traveling in the area, as workers and equipment will be working close to traffic. Heavy rock excavation work has ceased for now, and will resume later in the season. Traffic is currently being detoured through temporary bridges as the contractor works on replacing the four remaining bridge structures scheduled for this year. The contractor’s regular work schedule is Monday through Friday from 6:00AM to 6:00PM. From Monday 06/29/2020 to Thursday 07/02/2020, the contractor is scheduled to work day and night shifts. No work is scheduled for Friday 07/03/2020, Saturday 07/04/2020, and Sunday 07/05/2020. Expect occasional traffic delays that could last up to 15 minutes during the day between 6:00AM and 6:00PM, and up to 30 minutes at night between 6:00PM and 6:00AM. Motorists are advised that the Old Winchester Grade is not a viable alternative to US-95 due to its extremely poor surface condition, load limit of 30,000 pounds, and low speed limit of 25 mph. The road is closed to through traffic and will be enforced by local law enforcement agencies. Due to the nature of this project, closure schedules are subject to change with little to no notice. Updates will be posted here as soon as they are known.
