Between County Road 56 and The Canadian Border (12 to 29 miles north of the Bonners Ferry area). There is an axle load limit in effect. Speed restrictions are in force.

Comment: Trucks are restricted to 30 miles per hour and Legal Axle weight from milepost 522 (JCT US-95 and SH-1) to milepost 538.56 (Canadian Border) Restrictions apply to commercial vehicles 10,000 LB GVW and over. Restrictions are in place because the highway is showing stress from severe winter freeze/thaw cycle.
